  History

The late Mrs. Florence Cunningham organized the Willing Workers Ministry under the leadership of Reverend James H. Saunders and was President until her death on January 9, 1963.

Most of the original members have gone home to be with the Lord.  After the death of Mrs. Cunningham, and under the leadership of Reverend Alpheus L. Bright, Mrs. Dorothy Green was elected president and served for 22 years.  Following the death of Mrs. Green in 1985, Mrs. Mattie Dixon served as president until October 1989.  Mrs. Anna Johnson took over the presidency after Mrs. Dixon and served until 2002.  Under the leadership of our current Pastor, Reverend Dr. Myron D. Barnes, Sr., the currently president is Mrs. Trudy Cooper.

The desire of the ministry is to continue to the work of those who have passed on and strives to help other ministries within our church meet their goals.  The door is always open to those who are willing to serve in peace and harmony.

If you are interested in joining this ministry, please see Mrs. Trudy Cooper for more information.
