Bethany Church has been continuously blessed with a number of most excellent men to serve on the Deacon Ministry.  They strived to serve the Bethany Church Community in a spiritually responsible way.  In the interim, after the tenure of the late Reverend James H. Saunders and before Pastor Alpheus L. Bright tenure began, the Deacon Ministry could be counted on to carry out the functions of the Church which helped keep the church together and moving in the direction of the Holy Spirit.  There is no group in the Church more honored and respected than the Deacon Ministry.  At the same time, there is no group in the Church that is more faithful in the discharge of their duties.

Under the current pastorate of Rev. Dr. Myron D. Barnes, Sr., Deacon Neal Stubbs serves as Chairman, assisted by Deacons Alfred Harris, Jr. and Anthony Brunswick, Sr., Vice-Chairmen.

Scripture: Acts 6:3, 4Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report , full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.”

Meeting Day/Time/ Location: The Deacon meets every Monday before 3rd Sunday at 7:00pm in the Conference Room
